KS2 Success Stories

George Mitchell Primary Phase celebrates their success!
This year, 74% of our Year 6 pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths.
In 2015, we are especially proud of our KS2 Writing results! 88% of children have met the expected standard – this is higher than the national result from 2014.
A quarter of our Year 6 pupils exceeded the national standard expected for reading and all pupils have made the expected progress during their time at George Mitchell.
Congratulations to our Early Years Team and children! This year they have attained the highest results ever in the school at the end of Reception class. Their result is better than the National result from last year. This means our Reception children are more than ready to start in Year 1 now.
Every year, pupils in Year 1 take part in a National Phonics Screening. 75% of our Year 1 pupils met the standard expected, which is higher than the National result! Well done Year 1! You are great readers.
