George Mitchell School takes part in Shakespeare Schools Festival 2015

Students from George Mitchell School will be taking their talents to the professional stage, at Stratford Circus on Tuesday 3rd November.

The Drama Department is soon to start auditioning for parts in Shakespeare’s comical classic ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.  The successful cast will find themselves in front of an expectant audience in November this year. There will even be opportunities for those interested in developing their backstage, lighting and sound skills to take part; learning technical knowledge from the professionals.

The cast are invited to a workshop session in September to really bond with their peers, learn expert stage craft skills and find out how to tread the boards in confidence with advice from professional actors and directors.

We are also looking for students interested in marketing our production around the school and the community, so be sure speak to Ms Bradley or Ms Rook to find out how you can get involved.

We look forward to seeing you in the audience!
