What is Attainment?

Attainment is the raw score that students get at GCSE. It does not take into account a student’s starting point, previous attainment or ability.

The Government’s main measure of attainment is students achieving 5 A* - C (inc Eng & Maths)

Similar Schools

In the performance league tables all schools are placed within a group of schools from all over the country that are comparable with each other based on KS2 attainment results.

KS4 results are then compared. This is a very good measure of how well a school is doing because it compares schools with students of similar backgrounds and abilities.
