Year 3 Science Museum

The Year 3 class had an eventful day at the Science Museum in May.

They visited the Launch Pad area inside the museum where they looked at generating electricity the old-fashioned way: pedalling until enough electricity was created to light up a flashlight and turn on a radio.

A very popular exhibit was a 35 metre long echo tube. The children had to stand at one end and shout into the tube, then listen as their voices bounced back to them. With 26 disappointed faces when they heard we had to go back to school, it was a sure sign that the children enjoyed themselves, but, as you know, time flies when you’re having fun learning.
